Guilt

That feeling when you skip a scheduled run.... I skipped yesterday's scheduled run... but hopefully made up for it today. I must admit to a fair degree of wimpiness, as I ran on the indoor track at the gym (9 miles with 2-minute pick-ups) since it's 90 degrees outside, but I got 'er done. It's a recovery week, so I don't feel as bad as I'll feel next week when I miss a scheduled run...

Speaking of.....

RAIN! We certainly had that at the Baltimore 10 Miler. It waited until just a few minutes before the start, then it came.....along with a little lightening and thunder.

It felt great, in that funny way that rain feels great when the weather is not too cold and it just doesn't matter how much wetter you get. It was refreshing and funny at the same time.

My wife and her friend ran as well. Right before they finished they were treated to a lovely downpour and had to laugh as someone near them broke out in song.

I don't think 3000 people getting rained on will get this kind of reaction in many forums.

That was the first run of the day for me to get soaked in. We have a new Hash group in the area, the UCH3 - Upper Chesapeake Hash House Harriers. Its a family friendly Hash....just in case you are doing some web research on Hashing! Kids are welcome and it is very fun! Search for this group and please join me!

We will Hash every other Saturday, but not over the holiday weekend.

On On! my friends!

Rain....

Rain - it stinks in general, but it's good for running. Scott led a fabulous speedwork session at John Carroll last night. 4 x 1 miles and the 4 x 400s. Come on out!

Now that the rain is gone, I'm heading out for an easy 7 with Sophie the dog....

happy running!

Free speed workouts

Wednesday nights are free speed workouts with Coach Scott from RASAC at John Carroll's track at 6 pm. All are welcome.

And... note to self. Do not do hill repeats (8 x 90 seconds) on a 20% grade in the heat.... bleah.

Yay! Traffic!

Hi, folks!

The idea is for this blog to be multi-authored so we can all chat and contribute. If you'll send your email address to me (funnyrunner93@gmail.com), I'll add you as an authorized blog author. Then you should be able to add a post on this blog, add races, etc. If you don't want to use a main email address, you can create a gmail address on google. Easy as pie.

Also, if anyone is way more technologically oriented than I (not too difficult), please feel free to overhaul the site!

Looking forward to interacting with some fellow Harford County Runners!
